I acknowledge the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation as the traditional custodians of the land on which I live and work in Sydney, Australia. 

I recognise that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are Australia's first people. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging, and recognise the past trauma and genocide against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. I acknowledge that many structures and policies that contribute to the ongoing dispossession of First Nations People are still in place today.

I acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded. This always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.
